Jonnie worked in marketing, business development and senior general management for more than 35 years. His career started with a focus in personal care, fragrance and cosmetics sectors with roles at Revlon, Proctor and Gamble and Unilever before he moved into the diamond sector. He worked at De Beers for 19 years where he was President of the De Beers Diamond Institute, De Beers Industry Services and downstream board member. Jonnie is an entrepreneur and investor that is engaged with many cutting-edge businesses. He has strong ties to academia and is currently an advisor to Oxford Science Enterprises and sits as a non-executive director on the boards of other university research spin-out companies. Jonnie is focused on building strong and transparent client relationships at Pina Vida and helping to support our customers determine where we can help them.
Guy is a technologist who worked as a software engineer and architect before founding Pina Vida. He sought to improve upon the failings that he consistently witnessed with project delivery. He wrote his first computer program when he was 7 years old and has more than 20 years professional experience. Throughout his career he has worked to solve problems for companies of every size – from start-ups to large multi-nationals in both the private and public sector. Guy leads Pina Vida and ensures that the entire business is built around our unique Delivery First methodology.
Nish started her career as a business analyst before rising to become the head of technological consulting for a large financial services consulting firm based in Singapore. When she returned to the UK she joined Pina Vida to take on the Head of Change role. Nish is focused on helping clients to manage their change. Coding software is only part of the process but delivering that change to a business is vital to success. Nish helps our clients to deliver the change they need. She has 14 years of experience focused on delivering change for clients on technology projects.
When it comes to having an eye for detail and project execution – Dhilushi's skills are unparalleled. Her background in engineering and programme delivery for the oil and gas sector helped her to appreciate the size and scale of large projects with significant budgets. Her work saw her move into taking senior roles in other large engineering projects including Crossrail before moving to Pina Vida to help our clients deliver workstreams to their business. Dhilushi oversees the implementation of our Pods’ agile workstreams and is a certified scrum master in addition to her strong engineering and delivery-focused background. At Pina Vida her job is to ensure that each Pod is setup to communicate effectively with clients and to onboard Pina Vida to new customers.

Pods are a fully autonomous agile team working within Pina Vida for your business. Each pod has all the members it needs to act with complete autonomy. There are no blockers waiting for other teams either in your organisation or in Pina Vida. This is key to project delivery and removing many of the common problems with software delivery. Our pods are structured to let the team do their job and to focus solely on that.
The constitution of each pod depends on your needs but will generally include a scrum master and technical architect in addition to technical specialists. These are the only two members of the team that will regularly interact with your team. Their job is to keep the rest of the pod unblocked and liaise with you if there are problems.
If someone in the pod needs to book holiday, resolve an IT issue, or order a software license this is all done within the pod. There is no dependency anywhere else in Pina Vida and the pod acts as a fully autonomous software development company that is completely dedicated to your delivery.
This structure is key to our success. It allows us to keep the entire team unblocked and working in an agile fashion even if your organisation is waterfall and slower moving. This keeps momentum moving and helps us to deliver for you.
